Never Underestimate the Power of Your Intercession

Contributed by Gary

This story took place in 1982 in Omaha, Nebraska

At this time, I was working at the school where I had attended as an art student.

There were two young men both of which were around twenty-two years old. They both had been involved in the occult, one to a much higher degree than the other. They new of my faith and would at times question me. This day they came to my office to have me check some of there work and started to ask questions again and thus a new story began. Holy Dream from Last Night

Contributed by Brad

I had a dream I traveled domestically and when I came back to my home airport I had then accidentally got on a flight that took me far overseas. I was panicked to say the least. The people on the plane were trying to comfort me and did a good job.

Finally somehow, I ended up in the Middle East and I was trying to find my way back. The airport resembled more of a children’s circus than an actual airport.  I was with a young woman who I could not quite identify (You know how dreams are, they fill in some blanks later). We were then taking a tram of some sort. A guy overheard our conversation and said he would help. The girl had to go somewhere else and it was just he and I in the train car. The were no doors in this tram car and they were small. They would fit 6 people max, like a theme park ride.

Suddenly, I look in the background and saw a huge towering church steeple, but it was indoors. I was overcome with the powerful feeling of God himself and began to cry in happiness. There was a super bright light up high. The guy with me, his demeanor changed and he said “its alright, let it out.” Afterward, he agreed to drive us to some of the areas holiest areas for money. We agreed.  Continue reading Holy Dream from Last Night

An Amazing and Powerful Personal Experience

by Gary

Grand Island Nebraska, 1980. At this time I was in my apartment…

It was quite late at night and I was getting ready to go to bed. I had sat at the base of my bed and started to pray with intercession. I had been praying for some time and then prayed this prayer as I started to fall asleep:

“Lord, cover me with your full armor. Clothe me with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the swiftness of your sandles, the shield of faith to deflect the fiery darts of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. Lord also surround me with Your angels for protection and in some way, use me tonight.”

All of a sudden I heard terrified screams Continue reading An Amazing and Powerful Personal Experience

My First Real Holy Experience

Contributed by Brad

I grew up in household that didn’t speak much about God or Jesus.  In fact, the only real exposure to God or Jesus was when my brothers and I would visit my Grandmother in Virginia.  She would talk to us about God and Jesus and give us the occasional Christian coloring book. She was very firm in her beliefs and I believed her. But then we would hop on the Piedmont airliner and head home and get back into our regular non-Christian lives. I would continue to say my prayers once in awhile.  And when I asked my parents “why don’t we go to church?” or say “we should go to church.” they would always reply “sure, we will go.” But that never happened. The Beginning of my New Life in Christ, Part 2

Contributed by Gary

This journey took place in 1977 at Great Lakes Naval Training Center, 1978 on board the USS LaSalle and 1979 on board the USS Brooke.

In 1976 and 1977 I was stationed at Great Lakes Naval Training Center outside of Chicago, Illinois.

I was stationed at the Boot Camp Dining Facility. One year as the Night Baker and one year as a General Cook and breakfast cook for the officers. My nicknames were “The Killer Cook and Jesus number 2”..kind of a study in contrast. On the one hand I had to keep order of the recruits that were assigned to me and on the other hand a witness to recruits and the others I worked with. 13,000 recruits made their way to the mess decks three meals a day. When I would see recruits having a hard time, I would pull them aside and encourage them and give a short witness. I always had my Christian music playing and they were a captive audience. Experiences Come in Many Forms

Whether you see God or Jesus in your dream, in your day dreams or actually in person, these are all considered experiences and that is how God communicates with us.

In Biblical times God would communicate with many bona-fide. He would speak to them in various ways and they would deliver his word to the masses. Some of the profits  were Moses, David, Jeremiah and Isaiah. There are many more. Continue reading Experiences Come in Many Forms

Welcome to my Christian Experiences Blog

I felt compelled to create this blog to document my own journey of life in regards to my experiences of God and Jesus Christ. Perhaps others seeking testimony about God and Christ may find it useful.

I was not brought up in church. In fact, as far as I know, my parents were athiest or agnostic. My grandmother took my brothers and I to church several times as kids but we were busy goofing around and never paid much attention.

But, I have always felt the presence of God. I’ve known he was there from my earliest memories. I even remember writing him letters and stashing them behind my dresser as a little kid, maybe 7 years old, hoping he would read them.

After my mom died when I was 14 years old, I had a very powerful dream where God revealed himself to me. It was astonishing experience. Continue reading Welcome to my Christian Experiences Blog
