Never Underestimate the Power of Your Intercession

Contributed by Gary

This story took place in 1982 in Omaha, Nebraska

At this time, I was working at the school where I had attended as an art student.

There were two young men both of which were around twenty-two years old. They both had been involved in the occult, one to a much higher degree than the other. They new of my faith and would at times question me. This day they came to my office to have me check some of there work and started to ask questions again and thus a new story began. Holy Dream from Last Night

Contributed by Brad

I had a dream I traveled domestically and when I came back to my home airport I had then accidentally got on a flight that took me far overseas. I was panicked to say the least. The people on the plane were trying to comfort me and did a good job.

Finally somehow, I ended up in the Middle East and I was trying to find my way back. The airport resembled more of a children’s circus than an actual airport.  I was with a young woman who I could not quite identify (You know how dreams are, they fill in some blanks later). We were then taking a tram of some sort. A guy overheard our conversation and said he would help. The girl had to go somewhere else and it was just he and I in the train car. The were no doors in this tram car and they were small. They would fit 6 people max, like a theme park ride.

Suddenly, I look in the background and saw a huge towering church steeple, but it was indoors. I was overcome with the powerful feeling of God himself and began to cry in happiness. There was a super bright light up high. The guy with me, his demeanor changed and he said “its alright, let it out.” Afterward, he agreed to drive us to some of the areas holiest areas for money. We agreed.  Continue reading Holy Dream from Last Night

Spirituality vs Believing in God

One of the things I have heard more and more of over the years is people saying they are “spiritual” and “not religious”. Religion has become somewhat of a taboo word in modern western society. The word to them means rigidness, old fashioned and even worse, a cult that takes advantages of its members. And the term “organized religion” has become a dirty word.

The truth is that organized religion is perfect in the eyes of God when all participants are behaving according to the scripture. The hypocrites and evil doers that have used Christianity to harm others are the exact opposite of what the religion is about. But because evil people have claimed to be believers, it is easy for some to throw the baby out with the bathwater. John 4:24 “Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind.” Continue reading Spirituality vs Believing in God

An Amazing and Powerful Personal Experience

by Gary

Grand Island Nebraska, 1980. At this time I was in my apartment…

It was quite late at night and I was getting ready to go to bed. I had sat at the base of my bed and started to pray with intercession. I had been praying for some time and then prayed this prayer as I started to fall asleep:

“Lord, cover me with your full armor. Clothe me with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the swiftness of your sandles, the shield of faith to deflect the fiery darts of the evil one, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is Your word. Lord also surround me with Your angels for protection and in some way, use me tonight.”

All of a sudden I heard terrified screams Continue reading An Amazing and Powerful Personal Experience

My First Real Holy Experience

Contributed by Brad

I grew up in household that didn’t speak much about God or Jesus.  In fact, the only real exposure to God or Jesus was when my brothers and I would visit my Grandmother in Virginia.  She would talk to us about God and Jesus and give us the occasional Christian coloring book. She was very firm in her beliefs and I believed her. But then we would hop on the Piedmont airliner and head home and get back into our regular non-Christian lives. I would continue to say my prayers once in awhile.  And when I asked my parents “why don’t we go to church?” or say “we should go to church.” they would always reply “sure, we will go.” But that never happened.
